Our mother and father, (Ivy and Geoffrey Soul) were very much involved in the life of Cecil Sharp House from their early married life (1930s onwards). With my brother, Peter, our family joined in the Christmas Carol concerts at CS House several years, playing carols on our handbells, for Pat. So we both have vivid and treasured memories of those time, and Pat’s beautiful voice. Now, nearly 60 years later, I have the same handbells with us in SW France, where we have just introduced them to a group of our French friends!
