I am surprised at the instruction to turn single in opposition in A2 Bar 1 as the next move has both dancers doing a right hand turn.

Ah, but the impact of turning single up and towards and away from partner in the first bar of A2 is so much more effective than both just turning single to the right. I have always taught it this way.
