WORKSHOP DETAILS.
Mollie and Vic will consult with Madeline to choose a representative selection of Pat’s tunes encompassing most of the genres he composed in. They will explore interpretations of the tunes, with suggestions on accompaniment, and how to make the most of your instrument. All instruments are welcome. The music will be available in advance.

Following the afternoon tea break, we will have an informal concert, with performances from Mollie and Vic, and local community choir Village Voices singing some of Pat’s song arrangements. Plus yourselves showcasing the fruits of the day.

ARTIST DETAILS
Vic and Mollie are well known in the folk world as the virtuoso dance band ‘Double Dichotomy’, and have played all genres of country dance for festivals, courses and dances all over the country. They have an enormous breadth of experience between them. Vic also plays for morris and rapper, and plays a variety of instruments in rock bands. By day a primary school teacher, Mollie’s musical experience encompasses classical and Baroque in addition to traditional music. A relative latecomer to folk music she has played in numerous dance bands during the last thirty five years. They both have considerable experience running workshops.

Madeleine teaches and calls dances nationwide, and was inspired to become a caller and dance teacher by Pat Shaw.
